Colorado Geological Survey

The Colorado Geological Survey is very pleased to host the 43rd international meeting of the Forum on the Geology of Industrial Minerals, which will be held in Boulder, Colorado May 20-25, 2007. Participants of the Forum include the owners and operators of industrial mineral companies, suppliers, practicing geologists, exploration and production engineers, industry consultants, and representatives of state and federal governments and international geological organizations. We expect about 300 national and international registrants at this year’s Forum.

The fundamental objective of the Forum is to advance the understanding of the geology of industrial minerals and their practical application. Ideas addressed cover a wide range of topics including the basic geology and geographic occurrences of mineral deposits, responsible development of natural resources, and new techniques for exploration and development of industrial minerals. The Forum affords producers, suppliers, and vendors the perfect opportunity to showcase their services.

The meeting will include several days of formal technical meetings and discussions, along with field trips and social events that allow meeting participants to exchange ideas in an informal setting while becoming more familiar with the geologic resources of the Rocky Mountain region.

We hope you will join us in what is shaping up to be an outstanding Forum!
